Do I really get new teeth in one day? How is this possible?

Yes, the patient receives new teeth in one day. It seems amazing, but it is possible thanks to two conditions:

First of all, the Malo Clinic All-on-4 protocol is a patented procedure that is implemented step by step using specific, high-quality compatible components. This allows for efficient surgery and gives full medical safety.

Secondly, the Frankowski-Malo Clinic has its own well-equipped laboratory, thanks to which the bridge mounted on the implants is carried out immediately after the implantation. The technician closely cooperates with the doctor and the patient, there is no need to send work to an external prosthetic laboratory, which significantly shortens the time of completion of the whole work.

Is the All-on-4 procedure performed under general anesthesia?

As a rule, there is no such necessity. The treatment does not require deep sleep, only local anesthesia is needed. To reduce the level of stress (which is natural in such situations), the patient receives special sedatives. In difficult cases, the procedure can be performed under general anesthesia or so-called sedation. Often this is also a matter of patient’s decision.

Will I feel any pain after placing the implants?

Most patients who have been given dental implants experience mild discomfort after surgery. Anesthesia usually lasts a bit longer than the treatment itself, so most patients will not feel anything until the next day. Some may experience minor swelling and bleeding, but this is part of the healing process and is completely normal. If the patient is in pain, it can be easily relieved by the usual painkillers or those received at the clinic.

However, you should not take aspirin derivatives until the tissue is healed, because acetylsalicylic acid can cause blood complications. Additional recommendations are given to patients before and after the procedure together with the documentation. Each patient also has time to discuss their questions and doubts with the surgeon.

How much time will I spend in the office on the day of surgery? What is the day like?

It all depends on the complexity of the procedure and its scope. The implant treatment usually starts at 9.00, it takes several hours. Then you rest in a special room, on a comfortable couch under a blanket. You can watch TV or sleep and relax, we cool the area operated using special equipment and you receive light liquid meals and drinks.

During this time, the technicians are preparing a bridge that, after prior measurements, will be attached to the implants. When the bridge is ready, usually in the late afternoon, the doctor puts it in your mouth, we fine the details and  you are ready to go home with a new smile on your lips 😊

How will I feel after the procedure?

There may be swelling or light bruising a few days after the procedure. Patients usually do not feel pain, but sometimes light discomfort in the mouth. The organism, however, adapts quickly to new conditions. Within a few days, patients get used to a new quality, although sometimes it takes a bit longer. Everything, however, depends on the individual predisposition of the patient. Nobody undergoes convalescence in the same way. It is important that you follow your doctor’s instructions closely and take all medications you have been prescribed.

Can I be accompanied by a close person on the day of surgery?

Of course. We encourage that a loved one make the patient’s time pleasant while waiting for their prosthetic work. Nevertheless, the whole team is trying very hard to make every patient feel comfortable and safe. We treat you not only with medication, but also a smile and a good word 😊

How long will I get to the full form after the procedure?

It all depends on the individual characteristics of the patient, but as a rule, patients start to function normally within a few days and after a few weeks they do not feel any discomfort.

How should I look after my new All-On-4 teeth?

We care for the bridge on implants as we do for our own teeth. However, there are special brushes and tools that can help you. Initially, you should use a toothbrush with an angled neck, which will make it easier to reach places that are difficult to reach with a regular toothbrush. A simple soft toothbrush will suffice later. We also recommend the use of dental floss and interdental brushes to clean the space between the bridge and the gum. You are advised to clean your teeth and spaces between them at least twice a day.

In addition to the daily care of your teeth, a regular visit to a hygienist is required to remove the structure and thoroughly clean the structure and your tissues. You should take such professional implantation hygienisation every 6 months. As a result, your new teeth will last for many years and you will avoid infection around the implants. Importantly, only then the guarantee for the work remains valid.
